"I am greatly honored to receive this award", Francesco Neri happily stated after the awarding ceremony of this year's Sofja Kovalevskaja Award. The junior researcher, who has been leading a research group at the FLI since July 2016, has received the prestigious prize in acknowledgement of his outstanding academic achievements. With the prize money of 1.60 Mio Euro, he will focus his research at FLI on the molecular mechanisms of cancer in old age.
