On the Way to Becoming a Senior:
Postdocs at FLI

Currently, more than 40 postdocs are working at the FLI. To provide them with a well-structured, interdisciplinary network, FLI founded the postdoc network „Aging induced impairments of regeneration and stem cell functionality – RegenerAging", which was granted by the Leibniz Association (SAW 2015-2020).

With the network we aim to close the existing gap between dissertation and the position of an advanced postdoc as well as to foster career development of young postdocs in biomedical sciences on aging and regeneration. The implementation of state-of-the-art and innovative education measures focuses on the main challenges in educating postdocs in biomedical research in Germany by supporting interdisciplinarity and translation of research results, career development of female scientists and international connectivity.

Moreover, the postdocs at the FLI are organized in a Postdoc Cirlce to facilitate communication and information exchange.
