Visit by Ferdinand Sauerbruch High School in Großröhrsdorf at FLI

On June 19, 2025, 15 students from the 11th grade of the Ferdinand-Sauerbruch-Gymnasium in Großröhrsdorf visited the FLI in Jena as part of a study trip. They learned about current research projects, job profiles, and career paths in aging research.

On June 19, 2025, a group of students from Ferdinand Sauerbruch High School in Großröhrsdorf, Saxony, visited the Beutenberg Campus in Jena. As part of a multi-day study trip to Jena for 11th grade students with advanced courses in physics and chemistry, a visit to the Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) was also on the agenda.

Fifteen students used the opportunity to learn about the institute's work on site. They gained insights into current research projects on the biology of aging, learned about various career profiles and fields of activity in biomedical research, and found out more about training opportunities.

The visit provided the young people with valuable inspiration for their career orientation and highlighted possible perspectives in the field of natural sciences.
