The Science Price of Thuringia is annually awarded to scientists that have completed an outstanding project. The prize is divided into the categories 'basic science', 'applied science' and the 'transfer prize' for scientific results containing extraordinary relevance for business and industry.

In the basic science catagory, Dr. Helen Morrison was chosen for her groundbreaking work on a novel tumor suppressor cascade.

The award ceremony will be held by Kultusminister Prof. Göbel in Ilmenau on February 1st. More information on the award ceremony at the Jena webpage
