Program Areas
Advancing Aging Research Through Integrated Approaches
Our Institute is dedicated to unraveling the complexities of aging and extending healthy lifespan. To enhance our research impact, we have restructured our scientific efforts into two focused program areas:
- Molecular and Cellular Aging
and
- Systems / Integrative Aging
These areas represent a powerful combination of detailed molecular investigations and holistic, systems-level analysis, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerating discovery.

Molecular and Cellular Aging delves into the fundamental biological mechanisms driving aging at the most basic levels, exploring how cells and molecules change over time. Systems / Integrative Aging takes a broader perspective, examining the interactions between organs, organisms, and their environment to understand the aging process as a whole.
Together, these program areas represent a comprehensive approach to aging research, allowing us to translate fundamental discoveries into innovative strategies for improving health and well-being.
