Prerana S. Chaudhari won at FALLING WALLS Lab Jena 2026

Dr. Prerana Shrikant Chaudhari, a member of Dr. Maria Ermolaeva’s research group at the FLI, not only delivered a fantastic presentation but also took home two awards: she won the “FALLING WALLS Lab Jena 2026” pitch competition and the audience award as well!

At the event, which took place on the evening of September 10, 2026, at Imaginata Jena, students, early-career researchers, and innovators from various disciplines presented their research and ideas—all in just three minutes. Prerana S. Chaudhari mastered this unique challenge with flying colors with her pitch titled “Breaking the Wall of How We Treat Broken Walls of Our Body.”

A panel of experts selected her as the grand prize winner of FALLING WALLS Lab Jena 2026. She has thus qualified for the global finals on November 6, 2026, in Berlin as part of the FALLING WALLS Science Summit. Participants can look forward to an exciting program featuring workshops, networking, and visits to leading research institutions. This offers the opportunity to meet an international community of researchers, innovators, and decision-makers.
