Facility and Building Management
Facility and Building Management – Infrastructure that makes research possible
The Facility and Building Management (BO) ensures that science has space – quite literally. It is responsible for the smooth operation and management of all the institute's buildings and technical facilities.
This includes, among other things:
- Management and development of real estate,
- Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment and technical facilities,
- Supply and disposal, and
- Cleaning and maintenance.
Whether new construction, renovation, or demolition
BO supports buildings and facilities throughout their entire life cycle. It plans, coordinates, and optimizes – always with the goal of ensuring efficient use and flexible adaptation to the changing requirements of research. With a holistic view of infrastructure and services, the Operations Organization creates the conditions that allow scientists to concentrate fully on their research.
