UniStem Day

The UniStem Day is an International Education Day on stem cell research that offers high school students the opportunity to experience cutting-edge biomedical research firsthand. The goal of the event is to foster interest in the life sciences and provide insights into the fundamentals and applications of stem cell research.

Through a varied program featuring lectures, guided lab tours, and discussions with scientists, participants gain insight into the biological fundamentals of stem cells as well as their significance for regenerative medicine and disease research. In addition, UniStem Day offers an opportunity to discuss current scientific questions and learn more about everyday research life and career paths in the natural sciences.

The event is specifically aimed at high school students with a particular interest in biology and the life sciences. As part of an international initiative, research institutions around the world open their doors to inspire young people to pursue science and to foster exchange between schools and the research community.
