Supplementary Research Activities
FLI Retreat
Once a year, FLI researchers come together for the annual FLI Retreat, held at an external venue. Over the course of several days, the retreat provides a dedicated space for scientific exchange through lectures, poster presentations, and discussions. Internationally recognized experts in aging research are invited as keynote speakers, offering new perspectives and inspiring interdisciplinary dialogue. Beyond the scientific program, the retreat also strengthens personal connections across research groups and career stages. Social activities, shared meals, and evening events create opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and build a stronger sense of community.
Network Meetings and Community Exchange
Regular meetings of FLI’s various networks and communities provide opportunities to share experiences, discuss challenges, and exchange practical advice. These include gatherings of technical assistants, postdoctoral researchers, and other professional groups, helping to foster collaboration and peer support across the institute. In addition, alumni events maintain connections with former FLI members and strengthen the institute’s international network beyond its current workforce.
